Chilela

Brief
Chilela is a coffee brand based in Tondela, that aims to inspire people and cultivate interesting conversations. The place aims to bring a new perspective on sustainability, ethics and life, while serving you with delicious coffee.
I was tasked with creating a name, the identity, strategy and visualising possible collaborations and opportunities with other business partners.

Outcomes
The name Chilela is based on my great grandfather’s farm in Angola “Chilela”. The logo honours his vision, heritage and delicate character, while achieving modernity with the look, aiming to be interesting to women and young adults.

Patterns

To convince the 3 investors, I proposed to create a pattern to fit each of their personalities: Cafe Racer, Coffee Cream & Queen’s Gambit.

The brand will utilize these patterns to cultivate unique opinions and individuality among customers, ensuring that each customer has a personalized pattern to suit their preferences. These will also be used throughout the space for brand consistency and recognition.

The Space

Concept

Exploring how the brand connects with the space. It has to feel refreshing and interesting, should feature art from local artists and allow niche communities to be embraced, such as the boardgames and gaming community.

The art should be broad in example, represent local culture and past while also inspiring the youth.
